BROW TATTOOING

Saving time is a luxury we all need in our life. Imagine waking up and your brows are already impeccable and complete! No more tears while you try to even them out? A dream we can help with!

ABOUT THE SERVICES

the breakdown

MICROBLADING

Microblading is a semi-permanent form of cosmetic tattooing performed using a blade-shaped tool that has teeny needles that can create hair strokes. This type of cosmetic tattooing will give you realistic-looking brow hairs that don’t wash off.

OMBRE BROWS

COMBO BROWS

Ombre brows is one of our most popular brow tattooing services due to the beautiful front fade. This service is done using a brow tattoo machine which creates tiny pixels in the brow hairs giving a 'powder filled in' look rather than the hair strokes in microblading.

Combo brows is a mix of microblading and ombre brows.

Aftercare:

Unfortunately a lot of conditions can heavily compromise the effectiveness of cosmetic tattooing. Below is a list of things that can make you not suitable for cosmetic tattooing:

We do not offer Cosmetic Tattooing if you are: under 18 years old, pregnant or breastfeeding, have a tendency to keloid scarring, have any skin issues such as Psoriasis, eczema, psoriasis Rashes, Abnormal skin texture, moles, dermatitis etc on the brow/eye area.

Microblading is not suitable for people with acne, rosacea, excessively oily skin, as these conditions may cause excessive bleeding resulting in the colour not retaining well, and that the hair strokes may blur together and give unwanted solid effect.

We require a letter from your GP if you have Diabetes, heart condition, high blood pressure, taking blood thinning medication, taking cardiovascular medication, history of epilepsy or seizures.

If you have ever had a reaction to dental anaesthetics/dental blocks please inform us before making an appointment.

If you are usually required to take antibiotics for any dental procedures then you will also require antibiotics before your appointment.

Roaccutane, Retin-A medications or topical creams must be stopped 6 months prior to treatment.

Chemotherapy/Radiation Treatment must be completed 2 months prior to treatment and have a doctors clearance.

No Botox/Fillers 2 weeks prior to treatment

Skin care that contains Alpha Hydroxy must be stopped 2 weeks prior to treatment.

OCD (Obsessive compulsive disorder) - brow tattooing may not be the best treatment for you as the brows will never be 100% symmetrical. This is because the brow tattoo's are hand drawn and our faces are also not 100% symmetrical. Although we do aim to create as much symmetry as possible.

HRT(Hormone replacement therapy)/THYROID MEDICATION - hormonal imbalances or medications/ remedies may cause cosmetic pigment to fade or alter/change the colour due to pigment base tone. Bear this in mind before booking.

If you have previous tattoo, please email me clear photos before booking to melahlash@gmail.com.

Once you’ve had your eyebrows tattooed, proper aftercare will significantly influence the outcome and longevity of your brows. The healing process lasts a few weeks and involves several stages, each requiring specific care and attention, understanding the steps involved and following the recommended aftercare instructions are essential for achieving the best results.

As the numbing cream wears off after your appointment, your brows will feel sensitive and tender, feel free to use panadol or nurofen.

The first healing stage is about 2 weeks where the brows will initially go darker in colour as the brows start to heal/scab. After a few days the scab will start to flake off and it may look like the colour has faded or not held this colour, but that is just the new layer of skin that has healed over the tattoo. This is the second stage of healing where it can take 4-6 weeks for your skin to regenerate until you will see the actual colour of the brow tattoo.

Touch up appointments: A touch up appointment is recommended 6-8 weeks after your initial brow tattoo appointment. At the touch up appointment we will fix any imperfections from the healing process. Things we may fix at your touch-up appointment include patchiness (this is due to the fact that different parts of the skin heal at different rates and some parts may hold the pigment better than others), we can choose a darker brow colour.

Everyone's brows heal differently and some may require more than 1 touch-up to achieve desired results due to the ability their skin has to retain the pigment.

Immediately after-48 hours

for the first 48 hours use fragrance free baby wipes, facial wipes or tissues to dab the area every few hours or until brow stop oozing. This is to remove excess lymph fluids, which are produced and released when skin is broken. Lymph fluid serves an important function: cleaning the wound, protecting it from bacteria, and helping to form a scab.

once we finish tattooing the eyebrows I will apply a thin layer of aftercare cream onto the brows, for the next 48 hours you won't be required to put any more aftercare cream on, after 48 hours you will then apply a thing layer of the aftercare cream with a Q-tip twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening. It's important not to put too much on as this can dilute the pigment. The aftercare cream will help prevent infection and keep the brows from drying out for fast and effective healing and colour retention.

2-14 days

washing your brows: using an antibacterial soap such as 'cetaphil' apply a small amount onto finger tips and rub between fingers to create soapy foam, gently dab soap onto brows and lightly pat brows with soap for up to 10 seconds to remove any buildup of aftercare cream, bacteria and debris. Rinse off by gently pouring some water over the brows. To dry, use a tissue paper to lightly dab the brows. It's important to wash your brows in front of a mirror and sink and not in the shower. Wash the brows every time before you apply the aftercare cream (twice a day, morning and night)

after 48 hours, only apply cream twice a day after cleansing the brows, once in the morning and once in the evening for up to 2 weeks or until your brows have finished peeling/flaking off.

Immediately after-10 days

use the aftercare cream we gave you only when your brows feel tight and dry. Apply a thin layer in 1 direction.

for the first 2 weeks or until your brow tattoo has finished peeling/flaking it's important to keep your brows away from moisture (besides when washing them), do not submerge brows in water such as in the shower, pool, or any body of water, or constant stream of water, sweat, steam for longer than 10 seconds, if you do accidentally get them wet, dab them dry with a tissue or towel straight away.
